Children's Pastor

Sheila Slone joined the BCN staff in June 2000 when she and her husband JC Slone (Executive Administrator) moved to Beavercreek, OH, from Hampton, VA. Prior to coming to BCN, Sheila was an elementary school teacher (Kindergarten & 1^st grade). During her 8 years of public school service, Sheila saw first-hand that kids need a sense of belonging and worth. As such, she accepted the position of Preschool Pastor at BCN in 2000 and Children's Pastor in 2005.

Sheila is currently working on her Masters of Ministry degree through Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU). She received her District Minister's License in June 2006.

When she's not preparing creative lessons, overseeing outreach activities, researching children's curriculum, and teaching/preaching the grade school children every Sunday and Wednesday, Sheila enjoys running, exercising, and shopping. She also loves spending time with her family - husband, JC, and 2 daughters, Morgan and Molly.
