| JC Slone |
Executive AdministratorJC Slone joined the staff at BCN in October 1999 where he accepted the challenging and rewarding position of Church Administrator. As a self-described "detail guy," JC serves God, the people of BCN, and Beavercreek community with passion and dedication-always looking for creative ways to bridge church to neighborhoods. Before coming on staff at BCN, JC spent 11 years as a finance manager in the auto industry. Although this was how he spent his workweek, JC has faithfully served in the church (Hampton, VA) wherever and however needed. At BCN, this man-of-many-hats oversees the church facility, grounds, and events, manages the support staff (i.e. secretaries, custodians and maintenance staff), and serves the pastoral staff through administration, accountability and leadership development. He also has facilitated small groups, taught Sunday School, coached kids' basketball, coordinated sports events, and much, much more! He absolutely loves the challenge of organizing big events, problem-solving, making things happen, thinking out of the box, and working with the pastoral staff; especially in the area of leadership development and goal setting. When he's not working (which is very, very rare), JC enjoys all sports (especially ACC basketball and Redskins football), reads (non-fiction, work-related books, of course), cooks (ask him to fix you some of his famous shrimp quesadillas), downloading songs onto his i-Pod, and taking walks with his wife. He also loves eating seafood, reading Calvin & Hobbes cartoons, and throwing things away ("dumpster day" is his favorite time at BCN). And, when he takes a much-deserved vacation, JC loves sitting in a beach chair, listening to waves crash against the shore, burrowing his feet in the sand, reading any book by Erwin McManus, sipping sweet ice tea, and "listening" to his wife share every single thing about every single article she is reading in her Oprah magazine. JC and Sheila have two daughters, Morgan and Molly. Contact JC by clicking here. |
