High School Pastor

Ashley Barchus earned her Religion degree with an emphasis on Pastoral Ministries and her Master's from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU). While completing her undergraduate studies Ashley was actively involved in the leadership of Young Life. During her four years, she also learned from a variety of internships - two of which were served at BCN (2005 & 2006). Ashley connected so well with the students at BCN that she soon accepted the position of full-time High School Pastor in October 2006.

Ashley is not new to the BCN family. In fact, her parents, Curtis and Cindy Reeves were married at BCN. Ashley and her twin sister, Emily, and their brother, Nathan, grew up at the church. She is excited to be working with as well as alongside the youth and their families - helping them to establish or enhance an authentic and transforming relationship with Christ. Her passion drives her to intentionally build relationships with the students in order to "earn" the right to be heard.

In addition to her passion for the teens - going to lunch or hanging out on her old, but very comfy couch catching up with or praying for them - Ashley is extremely passionate about the men, women and children (especially the orphans) in Africa. She has traveled individually as well as led teams to West Africa. The impact she has already had on the children of Arbre de Vie in Benin is amazing.
